Our default advice for schools is anonymous analytics only, and no biometric enrolment of minors unless the institution has policy, guardian consent and legal review in place.

Frequently asked
Can we use face recognition for student attendance?
Technically yes, and we would ask you to think hard first. Minors' biometric data carries the heaviest obligations under the DPDP Act. Card or app-based attendance solves the same problem with far less risk.
What about hostel privacy?
Corridors and entrances only. No cameras in rooms, bathrooms or changing areas — we will not design those in.
